3. Yard Trimmings

Pruned tree branches and leaves, grass, raked leaves

Instructions

  • Please keep trimmings to under 50cm in length and bundled together.
  • Grass and leaves should be placed together in transparent or semi-transparent bags.
  • Wait until just before collection to bag the waste.
    This will prevent molding.

Special Request

  • 5 bundles, or 5 bags, is the rule of thumb for one household's output.
  • Please do not discard rocks, paper waste, cigarette butts, work gloves, shovels, gardening products, broken pots, dog droppings, etc.
  • If your yard work was handled by a professional, please ask them to take care of the waste generated.
  • Pruned branches thicker than 15cm cannot be picked up.
  • Bamboo (stalks & leaves) and palm fronds qualify as "Combustible Waste."

 In Cases of Drop-Offs

Pruned branches of up to 2m long and/or more than 15cm thick as well as bamboo and palm fronds will be accepted if they are dropped off directly at the Yard Trimmings Compost Facility.
