4. Paper

4 (1) Paper Cartons (MILK PACKAGE)

Milk, liquor and juice cartons (we also accept cartons that are silver or brown on the inside)

Instructions

Please rinse the inside.

Dry them off.

Cut the cartons open and bundle with rubber bands.

4 (2) Mixed (Miscellaneous) Paper

Miscellaneous Paper (paper other than "paper cartons" or "newspapers, magazines, paperboard, cardboard, etc." )
Notebooks, office paper, Xerox paper, bulk mail, wrapping paper, catalogs, envelopes with windows (including brown and colored envelopes), postcards, receipts, thermal paper, memo pads, photographs, shredder paper, etc.

Instructions

  • Small non-paper parts (cellophane in envelopes with windows, metal fixings such as staples and eyelets, tape, stickers, etc.) can be left on.
  • Ink and pigments (paint, crayon, sumi) are fine.
  • Place them in a paper bag which is white on the inside. (Be sure to read "Different Types of Bag Disposal" ), shown below.
  • They can also be wrapped up in wrapping paper or calendar pages. If you choose to do so, please secure them using staples or tape (do not bundle with twine).

Special Request

Please put all soiled paper used for cleaning, as well as egg and fruit trays made of paper pulp, in "Combustible Waste."

4 (3) Newspapers, Magazines, Paperboard, Cardboard, etc.

  • (1)Newspapers (including ad inserts) ;
  • (2)Magazines, used books, paperboard (cake and tissue boxes, etc.), craft paper (paper bags that are NOT white inside, brown wrapping paper, etc.) ;
  • (3)cardboard (corrugated board)

Instructions

  • Please remove all non-paper parts (vinyl lip on tissue boxes, non-paper handles on paper bags, metal cutting edges on kitchen wrap and foil boxes, etc.)
  • Items (1) through (3) should be sorted by item type and tied up with twine.
  • Do not place (1) in bags.
  • Paperboards in (2) can also be placed inside magazines or bagged (be sure to read "Different Types of Bag Disposal," shown below).

Special Request

Please put cardboard and paperboard with gold, silver or plastic coating inside in "Combustible Waste."
