8. Non-Combustible Waste

  • Cans and bottles that originally contained items other than food and beverage (e.g. cosmetics)
  • Metalware (e.g. pots, pans, kettles)
  • Umbrellas
  • Ceramics (e.g. bowls, teacups, plates, flower pots)
  • Glassware (e.g. glasses, bowls)
  • Cans and bottles with significant grime or rust
  • Bottle caps & metal lids
  • Small appliances (under 50cm in length, width or height)

Instructions

Please place small items together in transparent or semi-transparent bags.

Special Request

Microwaves, fan heaters and sewing machines are classified as Large Items even if they are under 50cm

  9. Hazardous/Toxic Waste

  • (1)Fluorescent tubes;
  • (2)Dry batteries;
  • (3)Thermometers;
  • (4)Aerosol spray cans, small gas cartridges;
  • (5)Broken bottles/ glassware/ceramics, knives, mirrors, sheet glass, etc.
  • Items (1) through (5) should be sorted by Item type.
  • Place (1) in their original boxes, or in transparent or semi-transparent bags.
  • Place (2) and (3) separately in transparent or semi-transparent bags.
  • (4) should be emptied and placed in transparent or semi-transparent bags.
  • Wrap (5) in thick paper, etc. and mark "KIKEN" (Hazardous) on them.

Special Request

Button-type batteries and rechargeable batteries (NiCad, etc.) are not accepted. Please return them to their place of purchase.
