15. How to Discard Personal Computers

Accepted Components

  • Desktop computers
  • CRT displays
  • Laptop computers
  • LCD displays
  • Peripherals included at the time of purchase (keyboard, mouse, speakers, cables, etc.) can be discarded along with the CPU or monitor.
  • Check whether the PC Recycle mark is on the components

How PC Recycle Works

Select a collection method

<Take the packaged computer personally to the post office>

Affix the Yu-Pack from on the packaged computer and hand it over at the Parcel Post counter of the nearest post office(not postal kiosks).
Remember that they will not accept the package without a Yu-Pack form.

<Home pickup>

Contact the post office designated on the Yu-Pack form mailed to you by the computer manufacturer, and arrange for a home pickup.
